Art with Purpose
Mikeysline Mural at Eastgate
If you’re visiting Eastgate Shopping Centre, you may notice a striking new mural now in place — a powerful piece of artwork created in support of Mikeysline, the Highland-based mental health charity.
The mural has been brought to life by the exceptional talent of Marc from Fresh Paint, whose work captures themes of connection, hope and reflection. The artwork is hosted at Scran Kitchen, with thanks to Scott and the team at CRU Hospitality for providing the space, and to Ian Bone of Las Plant Hire Ltd for kindly donating a scissor lift to support the installation.
For Mikeysline, murals like this play an important role in encouraging conversation around mental health and wellbeing. They act as visible reminders that it’s okay to talk, to seek support and to take time to nurture the mind — including through connection with nature. Positioned within a busy, public space like Eastgate, the mural helps ensure that support and awareness reach people of all ages and backgrounds.
Eastgate is proud to host artwork that not only enhances the centre environment but also supports meaningful causes within our community. This mural reflects shared values of care, inclusion and visibility, and reinforces the importance of making mental health support accessible and visible.
Mikeysline support services are available via text, webchat, Messenger and WhatsApp, offering confidential support at key times throughout the week. Further information can be found on their website here
Next time you’re at Eastgate, take a moment to visit the mural — it’s a powerful reminder that connection matters, and that support is always within reach.
