About Inverness Wool Festival
We’re excited to announce the very first Inverness Wool Festival, coming to the Eastgate Shopping Centre on 20th and 21st of June.
Created by local yarn shop owner Leila Daubney, the festival is all about bringing the yarn and fibre community into the heart of Inverness and introducing more people to the world of knitting, crochet and crafting. Inverness is surrounded by fantastic wool festivals in places like Dornoch, Elgin and Strathpeffer, so it feels like the right time to bring one to the city centre as well.
By hosting the festival in the Eastgate Shopping Centre, the aim is to open the event up to a completely new audience — not just people who already knit or crochet, but anyone who might discover the event while out shopping and become interested in learning a new craft.
What to expect:
Independent yarn dyers and fibre sellers
Fibre artists
Knitting and crochet supplies
Gifts and handmade items
A friendly, welcoming yarn community
Whether you’re a long-time knitter, a crochet beginner, or someone who has never picked up a pair of needles before, this event is for you.
