Role Summary

We’re seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistants to join our team. You’ll be on the front line helping guests find just the right card or gift, offering service with a smile, and ensuring our store always looks its best. You’ll also help drive sales through upselling, maintaining stock, and keeping the shop floor in top condition.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers as they enter, offering help & assistance throughout their visit.
  • Operate the till / point-of-sale system, processing purchases, exchanges, and returns accurately.
  • Advise customers on product selection (cards, gifts, wrapping, seasonal items) and recommend additional items to increase basket value.
  • Maintain merchandise displays: replenish stock, ensure shelves and displays are tidy, organised and well presented.
  • Receive new stock deliveries, unpack, price items, and ensure products are fronted and rotated appropriately.
  • Assist with stock takes and inventory checks.
  • Keep the store clean, safe and welcoming (shop floor, windows, tills), ensuring all health & safety standards are met.
  • Meet or contribute toward sales targets & goals.
  • Work with the team to achieve daily/weekly performance and customer service standards.
  • Occasionally handle administrative tasks related to product ordering, pricing, or promotions
