Mother's Day Drawing Competition: Winners Revealed

22 March 2020

To celebrate Mother’s Day, we teamed up with the Inverness Courier and asked youngsters to draw a picture of their Mum, Grandma, Auntie or Guardian doing whatever makes them smile. With the chance of winning a prize, it was our way of making Mother’s Day extra special.

This is an annual competition at Eastgate Centre and as always, there was a great response. Pupils from twenty-nine primary schools and nurseries from across the Highlands put their artistic talents to the test! This included; Ardersier Primary, Dalneigh Primary, Dingwall Primary, Inver Primary, Lochardil Primary and Smithton Primary.

There were three age categories: Under 6 years old, 6 to 9 years old and 10 to 12 years old. With over 650 entries, Kirstin Gault, Eastgate’s Digital and Marketing Executive, and Amanda Scott, Digital Audience Development Manager of Highland News and Media – publisher of the Inverness Courier –  took on the difficult role of choosing the winners.
